We are a house…
…or better said “little house”, as we like to call it, that offers you the experience of staying in Tafí del Valle, surrounded by mountains, books, doggies, colors, and above all cool vibes.
Not only do we offer housing but we will also give delicious food. Everything here is plant-based and gluten free, and it’s also made with our own hands ♥.
It has all started as a dream
A little bit of our brief history
“Casita Alpiste Comiste” was born in July of 2022, from the hand of Carlita who decided to live in the dreamed Tafí del Valle since 2020 when she was only making vegan & gluten free Alfajores.
In time the entrepreneurship was growing in such a way that she felt the need of creating a space in which vegan and celiac people can eat safely and have more options; and in which they can also merge its passions: GASTRONOMY, TRAVELS & BOOKS.
So it was that the idea came up to create a home/space where travelers can pass their stay in Tafí del Valle with the same warmth as in their own homes; and also have a few tables where anyone can come to drink a coffee in the company of a book and delicious stuff, obviously.

Our proposal
In terms of housing we like to define ourselves as a Bed & Breakfast: We provide accommodation with a private bathroom and breakfast included.
The cafeteria and the kitchen are 100% plant-based, gluten free and handmade: We offer breakfasts, lunches and dinners (This last one only for guests). Each plate carries travel experiences, recipes from friends and family, ancestral seeds, our Calchaqui culture.
We look to differentiate ourselves, not only in the final result but also in the way, avoiding using ultra-processed products and replacing them for handmade food, like milks, flours, creams, etc.

Essential information about the little house:
- Check-in: 1:00pm
(If you arrive here earlier we can store your luggage until we leave the room in conditions) - Check-out: 10:30am
(If you decide to travel to another destination later, we can store the luggage at no additional cost.) - Internet: You must take into account that since Tafí del Valle does not have optic fiber, the service is many times limited, being a matter alien to our house. It’s the same service in most of the Valley.
- Use of water: We beg you to be careful with its use, since our area has a widely dry seasonal weather, and besides we don’t count on sewer and natural gas services, therefore we need to take care of the resources that we count on.
- People with special abilities: At the moment we don’t have access for people with motor disabilities, but it’s a part of our short-term project of having a House with inclusion.
- Kids: You’re welcome! We still request for the constant supervision of parents or responsible adults to avoid accidents.
- Non-human animals: If you’re allergic to animals like cats, dogs or birds, we can recommend another place for you to stay, since in our House the animals are part of the family. Likewise they don’t enter the rooms.
- The use of the kitchen is not allowed to the hosts since it’s exclusive to our cafeteria and, mainly because we keep it gluten free. However you can count on hot water for the mate, infusions and tableware.
Where are we?
Location
Our location is privileged. The little house is located in a quiet neighborhood, away from the downtown concentration but only 15 minutes away on foot.
We are only 800mts away from the main avenue of Tafí and 600mts away from the bus terminal.

We believe that the world should set out towards a vegetable diet and our way of contributing is to provide an option so that everyone has a possibility of choosing what to eat and with what commitment.
We are an oasis for vegan and celiac people.
We are proud to be an oasis of vegan, vegetarian and celiac people, in the middle of a Valley where the options are limited. We are the first and only cafeteria 100% vegan in Tucumán.
Local cuisine from the heart of Calchaquí Valley
We use the cereals, legumes and vegetables that these fertile lands provide us, like quinoa, amaranth, beans, green leafs, potato, corn; the same ones that our diaguitas ancestors used.
And we also try to take some of the local dishes to a vegan, gluten-free and healthier version so that everybody can taste a piece of our Calchaqui gastronomy.
100% hand-made pastry
We are in constant formation to take pastry to another level, one of greater respect to the other species and the environment. We make alfajores, cakes, cookies and puddings from the elaboration of our own milks, creams, butters and flours, being able to say that our pastry it’s 100% handmade.
